Why Rise Women's Health Was Created
Rise Women’s Health was created after years of seeing the same gaps in healthcare again and again. Some patients struggled to access primary care. Others had a family doctor but needed more time, support, or expertise than was available within a traditional appointment. Too often, there were few options in between.
Certain clinical patterns also became increasingly difficult to ignore. Many patients were living with complex, overlapping concerns—including hormonal health, pelvic health, migraine, autonomic dysfunction, hypermobility, and gastrointestinal symptoms—that did not fit neatly within a single diagnosis or specialty. These experiences helped shape Rise.
Sometimes what a patient needs isn’t another appointment focused on one isolated symptom. They need time to tell the whole story, understand what may be connected, explore evidence-based options, and develop a thoughtful plan for what comes next.
Rise was created to provide that option. Today, Rise works alongside existing primary care whenever possible, offering specialized virtual care for pelvic, hormonal, and autonomic health across Ontario.
Philosophy of Care
At Rise, we believe being heard is not extra. It is part of good healthcare.
Good care starts with listening carefully enough to understand the problem—not just the symptom that fits most easily into an appointment.
It means taking concerns seriously while also being honest about uncertainty. It means explaining the evidence, the options, the potential benefits and risks, and acknowledging when there isn’t one obvious answer.
It also means recognizing that the right decision can look different for different people.
Our role is not to make decisions for you. It is to bring clinical expertise, evidence, and careful assessment to the conversation so you can make informed choices that reflect your health, goals, values, and life.
You deserve to understand what is happening in your body. You deserve meaningful choices. And you deserve a plan for moving forward.
